Honeycomb Construction & Energy Efficiency

The hallmark of our cellular shades is their distinctive honeycomb architecture, which creates pockets of air that act as thermal barriers against heat transfer. During summer months, this insulating layer blocks exterior heat from entering your home, while in winter it prevents warm indoor air from escaping through your windows.
We offer both single-cell and double-cell configurations to match your climate and performance needs. Single-cell shades provide excellent light control and moderate insulation, ideal for temperate regions. Double-cell shades feature two layers of fabric cells for enhanced thermal efficiency, making them the preferred choice for extreme climates or rooms with large window expanses.
Cordless Lift System & Child Safety

Safe Operation for Every Home
We designed our cordless cellular shades with child and pet safety as a top priority. The cordless lift mechanism eliminates dangling cords that pose strangulation hazards, meeting current safety standards set by the Window Covering Manufacturers Association.
Operation is remarkably simple: grasp the bottom rail and gently pull down to lower the shade, or push up to raise it to your desired height. The spring-loaded system holds the shade securely in any position along the window.
Custom Sizing & Mounting Options

Every set of Lazblinds cellular shades is made to order based on your exact window measurements. We provide detailed measuring instructions with your order confirmation to ensure accuracy – measure width at three points (top, middle, bottom) and height at three points (left, center, right), then use the smallest measurements for inside mount installations.
Choose inside mount for a streamlined look that fits within your window frame, or outside mount to maximize light blockage and coverage. Outside mounting extends the shade beyond the window opening, eliminating light gaps along the sides and adding visual height to your windows.

Common Questions About Cellular Shades
For inside mount installation, measure the width and height of your window opening at three different points each, then use the smallest measurements. We'll make the necessary deductions for proper fit. Measure to the nearest 1/8 inch for accuracy.
For outside mount, measure the area you want the shade to cover, typically 2-3 inches beyond the window frame on each side and 2-4 inches above. We manufacture your cellular shades to these exact dimensions with no deductions.
Single-cell cellular shades feature one layer of honeycomb pockets and are suitable for most climates. They provide good insulation and light control at an economical price point.
Double-cell shades have two layers of fabric cells, creating superior insulation for extreme temperatures and maximum energy efficiency. The double-cell construction is ideal for very hot or cold climates, large windows, or rooms where temperature control is a priority. Both options use the same cordless lift system and are available in identical fabric colors.
Yes, our cellular shades work beautifully on French doors, patio doors, and sliding glass doors when ordered in the appropriate size. For doors, we recommend outside mount installation to avoid interference with door handles and operation.
You may also want to consider adding a hold-down bracket at the bottom rail to keep the shade secure when the door opens and closes. Contact our design team for specific recommendations based on your door type and dimensions.
The cordless lift system uses a spring-loaded mechanism inside the headrail that holds the shade at any position you choose. When you lift or lower the bottom rail, the internal springs compress or extend to maintain that position.
The system is calibrated during manufacturing to your specific shade size and weight. Over time, if you notice the shade creeping up or down, the spring tension can be adjusted using the tension devices included with your shade and instructions.
We offer cellular shades in over 40 colors ranging from crisp whites and soft neutrals to rich earth tones and bold accent colors. Each color is available in light-filtering, blackout, and sheer opacities.
Our most popular neutrals include bright white, alabaster, ivory, linen, dove gray, and greige, which complement virtually any décor. Request free fabric samples through your cart to see and feel the colors and textures in your own lighting before ordering.
Our standard cellular shades are constructed from non-woven polyester that resists moisture better than natural fabric shades, making them suitable for most bathrooms with adequate ventilation. The fabric won't warp or deteriorate from occasional steam exposure.
For bathrooms with showers or tubs directly beneath windows, or for very high humidity environments, we recommend considering our faux wood blinds or vinyl roller shades as more moisture-resistant alternatives. These materials are specifically engineered for wet environments and won't harbor mold or mildew.
Because each cellular shade is custom-manufactured to your specifications, we cannot accept returns on correctly made shades. We do offer a satisfaction guarantee – if your shade arrives damaged, defective, or not manufactured to your submitted measurements, we'll replace it at no charge.
We strongly recommend ordering fabric samples before finalizing your purchase, and double-checking all measurements using our provided instructions. Our customer service team is available to answer questions and verify your measurements before production begins.
